GETTING STARTED WITH SOME DIFFICULTIES
I have been waiting for this course since I was told about it. I am inquisitive and I have always wanted to have time to learn about teaching with technology. Now my son is seven years old and I am on the leave most of this year -I have a two-month-old girl. Sometimes it is hard to cope with adults responsibilities and to go on studying at the same time. It is also tough to live in this part of the world where the weather is unbearable and it affects on the internet connection. Although all these obstacles, I thought this opportunity is a good chance. I am eager to read and participate in the online activities. I have been eager to learn about the first emails. This week was upsetting for me because I did not get the emails on time and last Monday I was checking emails and trying to sail in the Blackboard website without even being able to load the webpage! It was not until Friday I could sail there and start doing some activities. I hope the second week will prospect for overcoming all these difficulties!

ReplyDeleteHi Ethel,
ReplyDeleteHaving two children is a big responsibility and you are doing great. I have also been excited about the course and I like the way we work and get to know each other. It is a great opportunity of an international exchange.

Marina,
DeleteI agree with you that this is a great opportunity for an international exchange -that is why I made an effort not to miss it. I enjoy working with the computer and I am interested in learning what teachers from other places are doing at school. I am very enthusiastic about meeting teachers who include technology in their classrooms.
Thank you Marina,
Ethel
Hi Ethel!
ReplyDeleteWe are from the same country! You live in a wonderful place, although as you say, the weather is tough... I really admire you for taking the time to study now that your child is a baby and you're on maternity leave. Don't get any obstacles get in your way and go on doing as much as you can. That's what really matters. The blog looks great, I love your color choices and blog arrangements. Good luck!
Thank you Sis! Your comment cheers me up!
ReplyDeleteHi Ethel
ReplyDeleteYou surely know that we are going to be partners for the draft projects. I guess that we will regularly be sending drafts this week. You have written that you are on leave, but you have some online lessons with primary school students in the Antartics, It sounds exciting and challenging, so I really look forward to reading your project plan!

Hi Ethel, It was just yesterday when I was watching a very interesting TV programme about your city. The host had a chance to fly by helicopter of a neighborhood of your city, the mountains. Having seen and having photographed all this beauty the woman couldn't constrain emotions and she burst into tears from delight. Now I will associate your wonderful city also with you - my course colleague ! Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, too! Ushuaia has an amazing landscape. If you happen to come, please, let me know!
